Here he was again, yet again, trying to pretend to be a real trainer. Why? Because, why the hell not? He didn't have out Toxicroak, or Whirlipede, but Pangoro again. Maybe because she enjoyed bashing in the Whirlipede so much last time, he couldn't help but pull her out again. She certainly didn't look like she was enjoying herself with her resting bitch face-- but Abner wasn't about to point it out.[break][break]

Instead, he just walked behind her, let her pave herself a path, minded his own business and kicked the grass as he walked. She certainly seemed to be enjoying herself so he couldn't complain. Each step she took she glanced around with eyes closed, sensing out the area, sniffing at the air, swatting at the grass, then snorting when nothing was produced like an impatient child.[break][break]

She always knew how to make him laugh.

While walking through Pangoro stopped. For the first time since they headed down the route, they stopped and Pangoro observed. What she'd seen, that Abner had no clue of, was a perfect leaf to chew on. Reaching down and picking it up, she couldn't help how she gave a disgusted growl at the fact that something was attached to it. A Bayleef to be exact. It was the top leaf of a Bayleef.[break][break]

Completely disappointed with the thing, Pangoro tightened her fist and started a fury of Bullet Punches on the Bayleef. It wouldn't do a lot of damage, and the Bayleef countered with a Body Slam. Pangoro quickly grabbed the Bayleef and tossed it aside, huffing at the Bayleef for it to go away.[break][break]

Abner watched as the poor Bayleef headed for the hills. He then slowly looked back over at the offended panda and lifted his eyebrow. "You know, you're the one who tried to steal his leaf... right?"[break][break]

He got nothing but a huff in response before she was back to looking through the route for something else that would hopefully not be so disappointing.

as they made their way through the route a bit more, abner was suddenly seeing a small ball of yellow electricity making it's way toward pangoro. a split second was spared debating. tell pangoro, don't tell pangoro...[break][break]

in the end, he couldn't help himself. "hey, watch your left."[break][break]

at his words, pangoro swiftly turned and watched as the small yellow wild charge hit her side. she groaned as she felt the electricity pulse through her body, but she didn't hesitate in beginning herself a small beatdown. the pikachu showed her own, dodging and using agility to confuse the pangoro. the little mouse showed more spunk than abner had thought and even weakened his pangoro a bit.[break][break]

he supposed that's what a trainer would look for in a pokémon, and he had to admit that he was enticed by it's energy. in the end, pangoro had won, throwing the pikachu into a tree and giving out a satisfied huff once it heard the pained cry of the little mouse. abner pulled a ball from his pocket, an unused one, and tossed it at the pikachu to catch it. he also returned pangoro to her safariball, shrinking it to put it back into his pant pocket as he watched the ball he threw earlier at the pikachu wiggle and flash with the capture attempt.
